Historic Highlights/Interesting Information: One of the few remaining authentic Cape Cod Catboats is the Betty Lou. This type of boat was designed to sail the shallow bays of the East Coast of the United States in comfort and safety. The expanse of San Diego Bay is an ideal cruising ground for this type of craft because of its stability and roominess for its size. The gaff headed cat rig makes short handed sailing simple and easy.

She has been undergoing a complete restoration from the keel up at the Koehler Kraft Boat Yard.
