Historic Highlights/Interesting Information: Akamai was the 4th K50 constructed in the San Diego Kettenburg Boatworks Yard. Entered in the 1965 Transpac race, dismasted 1000 miles into race, yet still finished. Restored from 
2009-2011 at Koehler Kraft Boatyard. Completely refit and celebrated her 50th anniversary in July of 2012.
